I’m at the point where I just don’t bother attending events anymore that only have binary salutation options in their forms. Do I miss out on interesting stuff? Yeah, possibly maybe. But if your event has to collect all sorts of personal data, at least try to make it inclusive.

I wonder if I should stop having pronouns in German altogether. I’ve seen some other people going that path. And since there’s no sign we’re getting gender-neutral pronouns in German anytime soon, this might be the best path for me, too 🤔Permalink
