“The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” is one of the very best books I've ever read. It reminds me of “The Mandalorian”: a fantastic story with just the right amount of fan service. And now I definitely want to learn more about Panem. There's a 64 year gap to be filled 😁

I just re-watched the first Hunger Games movie. Still one of the best movies ever made. I really do hope the lore around Panem will be expanded one day.

Continuing with Catching Fire: Top-notch production design. The arena looks fantastic … tick tock tick tock. And the acting feels incredibly natural all the time. This really sets the whole movie apart. Also: RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman 😢

Mockingjay Part 1 is both a good reminder that starting rebellions to fight fascist governments is important and how brainwashing and deception is used as psychological warfare.

Even if you already know what will happen, Mockingjay Part 2’s showdown is suspenseful as ever. Oh Coin, you sneaky worm 😏
