Rings of Power is really quite the cool show. Refreshing to see stories in Tolkien’s world that aren’t 99 % white men. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed Lord of the Rings and Hobbit. But you know, diversity/representation is one of the best things happening to movies+series recently.Permalink

I mean, Star Trek: Discovery S3 E8 The Sanctuary is still the most important piece of media for me personally. When Adira came out as non-binary, for the first time ever I was like “wow that’s me, right there on the screen”. Non-binary representation is rather rare.

I’m really happy for all the people who watch modern movies and series and can experience this feeling, too. We need diverse writer’s rooms for these kinds of stories. Star Wars is a prime example for what happens if you only have dudes writing a story vs mixed groups.Permalink
