      @fweidemann14 Initially it's up to people. But once a platform is a monopoly, there is no longer a choice (see YouTube). Games are dominated by a few players: On PC it's Steam, Origin, and Uplay. On consoles it's Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony.

    @fweidemann14 I guess with enough money, everyone can buy their share of the cake. Like Epic does for games distribution. Or Spotify tries for podcast distribution.
